Our pets are precious to us. They are like family. They need to be taken care of in an emergency, too. So be prepared to supply them with water and food, also.

There are some links below that you can check out for short-term storage food for pets. There are awesome recipes for cats and dogs. Just click the blue links to peruse them. When made, place them in seal tight, vacuum bags. This kitchen tool is so necessary for yourself and your pet’s food. Or, buy dog food and place them in seal tight vacuum bags.  The following links will help you get started.

The pressure cooker is great for you to have on hand for your own food sources such as to cook beans, soup, rice, whole grain cereals like millet or wheat, etc. You can place the cooker on a grate in a fireplace or on a fire pit. It cooks fast and gives you the nutrition needed when under stress. Many dog and cat food recipes need a pressure cooker to cook meat thoroughly and make it tender for storage.

I posted on security recently. Security, also, involves smart thermostats, refrigerators, cars, as well as, your computer, phone, and more. This video is most interesting. Nearly everything you do is tracked now or will be in the future through smart devices.

The video explains the process in simple terms including RFID credit cards which you may now have in your own wallet or purse. RFID cards has a chip in it which increases the dynamic of the information it can collect.  Someone with a very simple device accessible online for around $200 can get more information from the card about you  if they steal it.

Is it good or invasive? You determine that after watching the video.

If a thermostat can be turned off or turned down from outside sources, a solar generator makes good sense to have on hand even when there is not an imminent natural disaster. If a bank account is hacked or your credit card is suddenly refused, have storage food on hand in such an emergency until money is accessible again. Storage food is not just for a natural disaster emergency.

The news is full of posts and You Tube videos regarding the Republican convention. Tempers rose yesterday and feelings are being aired on both sides. It should be an interesting week.

More sad news of police killed in Baton Rouge. Turkey went through a failed coup attempt and the after effects are being suffered. Yellowstone has been acting up and getting hotter, and there is so much more around the world.

Be prepared, Friends. Store up some water and at least a couple weeks of food. You will need water to reconstitute most storage food. So, please be aware of this. Canned foods with pop lids can be handy if you need something in a hurry.

I will go into more needed information regarding items you will want to have on hand like toilet paper. In Venezuela, toilet paper is getting to be so expensive. However, if you are like me, it is an important asset!:)

Seeds are good to have because if they are non-GMO, you can sprout them in a sprouter for fresh food at any time even if you live in an apartment or city condo. A small growing bed on a concrete patio or a grow bed and grow light overhead in-doors will suffice to encourage growth for the larger seeds. Something fresh with live enzymes is healthy for your family in times of stress.
